Child Support
Child support is a mathematical formula which is governed by Florida Statute 61.30. This Statute considers several factors, including but not limited to: both parties’ incomes, the amount of overnights with the children, the cost of health insurance and daycare for the minor child or children.
Child support cannot be waived because it belongs to the child. It is both parties obligation to support the minor children after a divorce until they emancipate pursuant to Florida law.
Our attorneys are always available to answer all your questions regarding how child support is calculated and the actions we can take to raise or lower the payments.
